Welcome to Gyranda Santa Gertrudis Stud, Stud No 3, with its trademark X3X brand. It is owned by Burnett and Louise Joyce and family.
Gyranda is situated on the Dawson River, near Theodore (Queensland). It comprises 9500 hectares, with the country being very varied, encompassing river flats, undulating scrub, and mountain ranges.
"Gyranda" is considered one of the most beautiful properties in Queensland, or in fact Australia. It was a wildlife sanctuary from 1960 to 1995, and when the government stopped this, we continued to protect both animals and vegetation types. The results are easily seen, with a great diversity of Australian flora and fauna. We have been involved in the fish industry for over forty years, firstly in a research capacity, and then as an exporter of Saratoga Leichardi, and then as a supplier for restocking dams for recreational fishing.
